Some Article Directories Not Indexing In Search Engine

The main reason people post to article directories is to get qualified traffic to their own website; this is done by dropping a backlink in the article or in the resource box. Because the tag in the resource box is 'dofollow', then the search engines will count that backlink and bring traffic to that url address. I have seen many writers at Ezinearticles with hundreds of articles that were are similiar to bring in traffic to their site.

But lately, I have been noticing some wierd revelations about these article directories. While they still have a high page rank of 5 or 6, they are not getting indexed in the search engines. This means, you will get no traffic benefits and therefore is wasting your time submitting to these sites. What is up?

I have found that recently, Google has been trying to fix the spam problem in the search engines. So they have not been indexing sites that are known for carrying duplicate content. This is why there are not many article directories worth submitting to at all. In fact, you would do better pasting those articles on your own site. Some sites that have been affected by this new Google wave is; Goarticles, Squidoo, Articlealley and a few others. Even ezinearticles.com has suffered a major blow. Even though they are the only ones left standing (along with Buzzle.com), they are not getting that much traffic either from the search engines. Some writers are reporting a reduction in traffic from their ezinearticles by at least 50%!

Either these websites are indexing very slow, (up to 2 weeks) or Google is putting these sites on probation in which they will double-check all articles before allowing them to get indexed. I once created a Squidoo lens and noticed that even though I bookmarked to over 20 sites (social bookmarking sites), my lens still did not get indexed the next day. So, I checked like a week later and found my lens in the search engines, but it still had very low rankings snd I didn't even receive any traffic from my backlink!

This should teach these article directories a powerful lesson. Of course, in order to block out spam, they will need to beef up their editor team by having real people check each and every article. Ezinearticles has already became stricter with their acceptance rate. A lot of writers who were submitting 40 articles a day are now finding their articles being rejected for even the slightest error (some which are fabricated). Does anyone else think Ezinearticles is a little paranoid?

They have however added a built in software system that will tell you of any errors before you even submit the article, which does increase the approval rate. Buzzle is pretty good because they don't even accept any other articles that were place on any other website. Also, buzzle is a lot less strict than Ezinearticles.

So, is it true that there are only 2 article directories left to submit to for a little traffic? Unfortunately, this is the case. Unless there are others I don't know about, and I have been doing my research. ArticleDashboard is a hot mess. I submitted articles with them over 3 weeks ago and it is still in the review box.

Hubsites are starting to be a waste of time, since most of them have already included the 'nofollow' tag. I recently wrote about how Hubpages were tricking writers into thinking they were receiving a 'dofollow' link, when in fact they were not. This is what pisses me off about some of these writing sites. They want to cash in on your writing (article sites including hubsites and article directories make oodles of money off of ads on the site that your articles help bring in traffic), but they don't want to compensate their writers. If you are not going to pay them, you can at least give them a darn 'dofollow' link!

Let us pray that Ezinearticles can hold their current title as "King of article directories" because without them, getting traffic will be almost impossible. Even social bookmarking doesn't work as well as it use to!
