I have written multiple post about how you can make money online selling your artwork. There is money to be made online with artwork, especially if you are good, and with the new technology such as digital art tools, anyone could become an artist (depending on the talent). The biggest thing about marketing yourself as an artist online is the competition and the money hungry websites that are trying to cash in on the market just for starting an online "gallery".
Of course, you could get just as much leverage from making a sales page of your own and marketing it online using free classified ads and what not. The key is to find a market and go for it. For example; if you draw sunsets, don't market your art work as 'landscape art'. You need to narrow down your target audience. This is how you will beat out the competition.
I have been selling some art pieces of my own, and unless you build yourself a pretty good portfolio and market the crap out of yourself, most of your pieces won't sell for more than $250...not unless you are a well known artist. I have been seeing some websites trying to charge artist outrageous fees for showcasing their art. One website was trying to charge artist over $100 for a membership. I think this is bogus. I mean, some of the sites are pretty good for getting more exposure, but how can you really stand out from the sea of other painters on the web?
Marketing online using Youtube, Twitter and Linked In are good ideas for getting more traffic and can really make you money online for FREE! In the long run, putting your art work (which in many cases it is not even protected as anyone can come along and 'save' your artwork then reprint it) on other sites is a bad idea. If you really want to become the next picasso, you need to sell your own artwork on your OWN site.

Google Affiliate Network Having Problems
So I have decided to update my readers on what has been going on with the Google Affiliate Network that I applied to about a couple of weeks ago. I stated how Google took a pretty long time to reply back, but when they finally did, I noticed that I was accepted. The only problem was, I could not login into my account. There were some other problems I saw with the Google Affiliate Network platform. For one, it is hard to find where you can send a ticket for support. It seems many of the affiliates were having trouble logging in. Another thing I noticed where affiliates complaining about not getting credit for sales. One affiliate said in a webmaster forum that he had four different friends of his make test purchases to his site. He was shocked when he checked his stats the next day only to find 1 out of 4 of the sales were recorded. What gives?
As I have stated many times before, I am not a really big fan of affiliate programs because of their high levels of fraud cases and not report sales (shaving or "skimming"). For the most part, I don't have time for the drama. I just want to take affiliate products and promote them to make money. So who are really making money with these types of affiliate programs?
I have seen some of the top bloggers such as John Chow and Jeremy from "shoe money" make a lot of money from advertising CPA products from affiliate programs. What most people don't know is that many of the times (i'm not suggesting this with John Chow or Jeremy), the blog owner may inflate the actual amount that they earn from these CPA offers in order to look like a "guru" or "expert" in the affiliate world. In reality, top bloggers like these are only making a fraction of what they pledge to readers and faithful followers. It was reported that one top blogger only made $2000 a month with CPA offers.
There are some that set up multiple blogs or use other black hat methods in order to gain traffic. If they are making money like this with little to no effort on their part, I doubt they would care if the affiliate program is skimming money from their sales. But, for an affiliate who does a lot of hard work promoting offers by article writing, spending money on advertising and article marketing, this can be very heartbreaking and a waste of effort and time. I'm not saying Google Affiliate Network is a scam or is trying to jump on the "scam the affiliate" band wagon, but they are not getting a really good start either. One thing about affiliate programs and their reputation is, the word gets around very fast on the Internet. All it takes is one top blogger to tell the rest of his readers that the affiliate program is garbage, and the whole empire can come crashing down.
As for now, I'm not feeling very trustful right now. Because of the events that have occur ed in the past relating to affiliate programs and the new mess with Google Affiliate Network, I will be promoting my own products and services. That way, I KNOW when I am being paid.

Go door to door and ask if they would like their leaves raked. Make sure to come up with a set price, which should be lowered or risen depending on the size of the area that needs to be raked. A set price of $18 seems to be pretty good for a decent sized backyard. If a neighbor tells you "no-thanks", give them your flyer with your number just in case they change their minds.
Delivering Newspapers- Many publishing places need people to deliver the Yellowpages and community newspapers. Try to look for an ad online or in your local newspaper that may advertise for a delivery person.

I use to work as a telemarketer about 7 years ago and I know that many offer a base pay, whether you are making sales or not. Base pay will be really cheap, such as $100 a week. Most of the time, when you are paid a low base payment, the company will only hire you part-time. So, why not get two telemarketing jobs that offer a base pay? That would be $200-$300 a week. One thing about telemarketing job and that is that they never grow cold; even in a recession.
Health Aide- This profession is not easy, as you will need to take care of elderly patients. Unlike a CNA, it does not require you to be licensed. (This is true for health aides who work in assisted livings). Most health aides make anywhere between $8-$10 an hour depending on experience and background. These jobs are always available just like telemarketing jobs.
Truck Driver- Most truck driving companies will hire felons and will train you to become a driver. You will need to go through a two week training (some are longer or less than this). Truck drivers can earn anything between $10-$22 an hour, depending on the hours and whether you will be driving local or out of state.

Will Pinging Really Help My Blog Rank Higher?
Pinging has been around for ages. It is nothing more than alerting the search engines to come check out your blog to crawl for new content. What many people don't understand about pinging is that it will not work overnight, but is rather a snowball effect. Pinging thousands of times per day is really not going to get you anywhere. Even using multiple pinging services could get you in trouble and labeled as a spammer. Pinging is effective for long term use.
A while back, I was using ping services faithfully once a day. After each post, I would go to Pingoat and ping once per day. Even if I wrote multiple blog post, I would only ping once a day. Eventually, this turned into a snowball effect and after one month of doing this, I was getting 1000 views per day just from pinging. The reason most people do not see results with pinging is because they are not consistent with it.
If you notice, the first day you ping a fresh blog, you will only get 7-10 views or less for that first ping. But eventually, after one week of pinging your blog for traffic and backlinks, you will start to notice your traffic build. After a short amount of time, I was getting 40 views per day after I started back pinging. Never lay off of pinging because once you do, you will have to start the process all over again. It's like starting from scratch, which can be very frustrating. I had to find out the hard way.
All that time, I thought it was me social bookmarking my blogs to various networking sites that got me backlinks. Maybe it gave me a little boost, but I have news readers; social bookmarking is not half as effective as it use to be. I think I got about 20 views from social bookmarking and my page rank did not jump considerably either. If you notice, it is kind of ridiculous when you are trying to get an honest review only to be slammed with how "AMAZING" and "PERFECT" a product is; however, I am not a fan of censoring people's freedom of speech on the Internet. What makes me turn my nose up at this approach is the big companies that make a lot of money are not so ethical themselves. This goes for big affiliate programs who carry big names like Zales and other huge corporations who have made billions in consumer dollars.
Many Internet marketers are aware of the affiliate network being sued by various affiliates for them pocketing their hard earned dollars. What makes me sit back and laugh is that many of these top businesses and corporations still use the services of these artificial affiliate networks despite knowing that they are being investigated for fraud and cheating affiliates out of their hard earned money. Even the top affiliate networks that are getting, 'rave reviews' are being accused of pocketing money.
A friend of mine joined a very lucrative and well trusted affiliate network and had four different vendors make a test purchase for him. When he checked his stats, only 1 out of 4 showed up. He thought maybe it would take some time to show up because of the cookies, but when he did another search the next day, it still only showed he made one sale! Yikes. I can estimate that about 95% of affiliate programs are scams. I would suggest any Internet marketer to promote their own products and just give up on affiliate programs.
